Shoop Park Golf Course

Shoop Park Golf Course sits directly on the shoreline of Lake Michigan, with the lake forming the eastern edge of the property. The Wind Point Lighthouse stands at the north end of the course and is visible from every hole, a landmark for both ships and golfers.

The land was donated by Dr. Shoop for the benefit of junior golfers, and that purpose continues today through the annual junior golf academy held at the course. Breezes off the lake keep conditions cool through the summer, and the shoreline setting draws photographers as well as players.
