Jefferson Golf Course is a public, non-profit 13-hole layout set on rolling terrain in Jefferson, Wisconsin. The course features bent grass tees, fairways and greens, and plays to a par of 52 at 4,810 yards from the back tees — comparable in length to a 6,700-yard 18-hole course. Nine-hole rounds are also available, and the layout suits a range of skill levels.
The course reopened in the fall of 2010 after the 18-hole Meadow Springs course on the site closed in the spring of 2009. Only part of the original property could be secured, with the leased land forming the present 13-hole course. It is overseen by the Jefferson Charitable Golf Foundation, a volunteer board of directors whose stated mission is to grow the game and keep golf accessible. The foundation works with local residents and businesses to provide an outdoor activity for players of all ages.
