About Whistling Pines Golf and Event Center
Whistling Pines Golf and Event Center is a nine-hole course in Iron River, Wisconsin, playing 3,045 yards to a par of 36. The surrounding area is dotted with lakes, and the course sits roughly 15 miles from the south shore of Lake Superior and about 45 minutes from the Superior/Duluth area.

The course opened in 2001 on land that had been the previous owner's family farm. A hilltop clubhouse built in 2005 takes the form of a rustic lodge with views of the surrounding countryside, and a grand room added in 2011 carries on that style with a high cathedral ceiling and a gas fireplace.
