About Whitnall Park Golf Course
Whitnall Park Golf Course opened in 1932 and was designed by George Hansen. It sits within Milwaukee County's largest park, a 640-acre property, and plays through heavily wooded terrain where mature trees frame the fairways on all 18 holes.
The layout stretches to 6,508 yards from the black tees and just under 5,600 yards from the forward set. Though modest in length by modern measures, the course gains its challenge from rolling elevation changes and greens that can be difficult to read.
Lessons are available from a PGA professional, with group, individual and junior instruction offered. Several local golf clubs organize leagues that play at the course.
