Country Club Estates Golf Course
About Country Club Estates Golf Course
Country Club Estates Golf Course in Fontana, Wisconsin, is a nine-hole layout that winds across roughly 70 acres of what was originally planned as a larger property. The financial pressures that followed the 1929 stock market crash halted construction, and only the front nine was ever completed.
An adjoining 58 acres to the north and east, known locally as "The Back 40," was placed under a 99-year declaration of conditions, covenants and restrictions in 1991, preserving it as open space and leaving room for a possible future expansion of the course.

The property is closely tied to the surrounding residential community, including developer Arthur Jensen and his wife Ruth, who were known for describing residents as trustees of the land for the next generation.
