Brookfield Hills Golf Course

Brookfield Hills Golf Course opened in 1971, when the course and the neighboring Brookfield Hills Apartments shared a single owner. The apartments were sold in 1985, separating the two properties. In the decades since, the grounds have matured into a wooded tract of tall deciduous and pine trees, with ponds throughout and Deer Creek running through the back nine.

The 18-hole layout plays over mostly level ground, with knolls and gentle rises framing many of the fairways. Water comes into play by way of the ponds and the creek, and the bunkering is placed to create awkward situations, though the large greens offer a measure of forgiveness.
