About Indian Canyon Golf Course
Indian Canyon was designed in 1930 by H. Chandler Egan and sits above the western entrance to Spokane, with views over the city. The layout is built into a canyon wall with a vertical drop of 240 feet, winding among tall pines, and demands accuracy from tee to green.
The course plays to a par of 71 over a hilly 6,255 yards. It is heavily bunkered, and its undulating greens call for a delicate touch around and on the putting surfaces.
The public course has hosted a number of significant tournaments, including three U.S.G.A. championships: the United States Amateur Public Links in 1941 and 1984, and the United States Women's Amateur Public Links in 1989.
