About Snohomish Golf Course
Snohomish Golf Course sits east of the city of Snohomish on roughly 200 acres atop Dutch Hill, land that was once a dairy farm. Dave Richards and his father, Gordon "Gordy" Richards, purchased the property in 1966 after completing the back nine at Wayne Golf Course in Bothell, and the rolling pasture required little earthmoving to accommodate an 18-hole, championship-length layout. Once the greens, tees and landing areas were set, thousands of Douglas fir saplings were planted to frame and separate the fairways, giving the holes their present definition. Dave Richards owned and ran the course until his death in 2019, after which his son, Steve Richards, took over operations.
