About Olympia Country & Golf Club
Olympia Country and Golf Club dates to 1917, when it was first laid out in Lacey on the ground now occupied by Panorama City. In 1923 roughly 100 acres were acquired at Butler Cove, the club's present site. The clubhouse was finished in 1925 and a nine-hole course opened the next year. The layout grew to eighteen holes in 1958, when the clubhouse was also remodeled and a swimming pool added.
Longtime member Dr. Angela Bowen bought the property in May 2012 and expanded the facilities, adding the Terrace on the Green restaurant, a new pro shop, cart storage and a parking garage, along with a remodel of the original Legacy Building. Following her death in 2017, her estate ran the club until February 2021, when a group of members formed an LLC and took over ownership.
