Nile Shrine Golf Course opened in May 1968 as a nine-hole layout, with Bob Tindall serving as its first golf professional. Expansion work carried out during the 1990s doubled the course in size, and the completed 18 holes opened to the public in 1996.
The course remains open to the public today and operates as a full-service facility with golf carts available. It also hosts tournaments, picnics and more formal gatherings, with a pro shop, restaurant and event center on site.
Nile Shrine sits in Mountlake Terrace, roughly 15 minutes north of Seattle and just off Interstate 5 near WA-104, on the route toward Edmonds and the Kingston ferry. The entrance road winds through the golf course to the clubhouse buildings.
