American Lake Veterans Golf Course
About American Lake Veterans Golf Course
American Lake Veterans Golf Course sits on Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington and serves veterans and their families, offering a place for recreation, community, and golf.
The course has been part of veterans' lives for generations, drawing players who come as much for the companionship as the game. In 1995, federal funding for the operation and maintenance of Department of Veterans Affairs golf courses came to an end. Rather than see the course close, volunteers took up its upkeep and have kept it running since, carrying forward the same spirit of service shared by the golfers who play it.
