Hat Island Golf Club
About Hat Island Golf Club
Hat Island, also known as Gedney Island, is a small private island in Puget Sound in Snohomish County, Washington. It sits west of Everett, between Whidbey Island and Camano Island, and serves as the permanent or seasonal home of roughly 260 families.
The island's golf course has nine holes and is set amid Northwest island scenery. Other community amenities include a marina, a yacht and golf club, a fire station, and public beaches used for clamming, crabbing, fishing and beachcombing. Access is by the island's own passenger ferry, with a bus serving the island as well.

Because the island is private and its roads are maintained by the Hat Island community, vehicles there are not required to carry state license plates. With no stores on the island, cars are generally used only to carry residents between the ferry landing and their homes.
