Stamford Valley Golf Course is a 9-hole, regulation-length course in the small Vermont town of Stamford, set among the surrounding valley scenery.
The course opened on September 5, 1964, after Leroy Lawrence chose to move from farming into golf. A former Speaker of the Vermont House of Representatives, Lawrence founded the course and served as the chief designer and builder of its original nine holes.
