The Golf Club at The Equinox
About The Golf Club at The Equinox
The Golf Club at The Equinox dates to 1926, when Walter Travis, a three-time US Amateur champion, laid out the course at the request of Mrs. George Orvis. The intent was to absorb play overflowing from nearby Ekwanok Country Club, and the design has remained the foundation of the course ever since.
Architect Rees Jones carried out a complete renovation in 1991 to update the layout for modern play, and has since been brought back for further work. The first three phases of a greenside bunker renovation project have been completed.
