About Stonehouse Golf Club
Stonehouse Golf Club in Toano, Virginia, is an 18-hole public course playing to a par of 72 and stretching to 7,013 yards from the back tees. It was designed by Mike Strantz, who trained under Tom Fazio, and opened in 1996.
Strantz set out to build a mountain-style layout that interfered with the natural landscape as little as possible. The result combines wide fairways, deep bunkering and pronounced elevation changes, with very large putting surfaces, some set at the edge of natural cliff formations, presenting challenges for players of all abilities.
