About Suffolk Golf Course
Suffolk Golf Course opened in 1952 to a design by Dick Wilson, and it retains the character of a traditional tree-lined layout. Elevation changes and a series of doglegs make the course play longer than the scorecard suggests, calling for a variety of clubs over 18 holes.
The back nine is the scenic stretch, with Lake Kilby coming into play on several holes, and bald eagles are sometimes spotted near the 12th. The greens have been converted to Champion Bermuda grass, matching the fairways, and forward tees make the course approachable for beginners, juniors and women.

The course is open to the public and hosts tournaments and outings ranging from small groups of around two dozen players up to full fields of 144. A snack bar serves golfers after their rounds.
