About Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club
Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club in Leesburg was designed by Gary Player, who used a links style suited to the rolling terrain of Virginia horse country. The layout takes in meandering streams and open views, with elevated tee boxes and bentgrass greens.
Its most distinctive feature is a collection of deep, Scottish-style stacked sod pot bunkers, several of which carry names in the Scottish tradition, among them "Lee's Bunker" and "Grant's Tomb" at the 11th and "Satan's Foxhole" at the 14th. Bunkering was a natural focus for Player, long regarded as one of the game's strongest sand players.

The course occupies the site of a former raspberry farm, and wild raspberry bushes still grow nearby. Fox hunts once took place in the area, a history echoed in the club's name.
