Heritage Oaks Golf Course
About Heritage Oaks Golf Course
Heritage Oaks Golf Course in Harrisonburg was designed by architect Bill Love, who has described it as one of his favorite and most challenging projects to bring to completion. The routing blends wooded holes with links-style stretches, giving the round a mix of characters from one nine to the next.
In contrast to many courses in the region, which were laid out with cart travel in mind, Heritage Oaks has a compact routing that suits walkers.

Wildlife is plentiful across the property, and the course takes an active approach to environmental stewardship. With support from a Fairways Foundation grant, Heritage Oaks has begun establishing wildflower plots for bee pollinators, and the program continues as additional maintained areas are converted into wildlife refuge.
