Fincastle
About Fincastle
Fincastle was designed by Dick Wilson in 1963 and opened in 1965. The course is known for quick greens that reward accurate shot placement. The front nine plays through lower, parkland-style terrain with relatively open holes, while the back nine takes on a mountain character, climbing upward along tree-lined corridors. Mountain views and an unhurried atmosphere round out the setting.
Practice facilities include a driving range with 10 hitting stations at the east end of the parking lot, a putting green with six practice holes in front of the golf shop, and a chipping green situated between the 10th and 13th holes.
The course is owned by the Town of Bluefield and is open to the public.
