Webb Hill Country Club
About Webb Hill Country Club
Webb Hill Country Club in Wolfe City, Texas, has been shaped by a single family for nearly five decades. Charles and Shirley Ranly bought the club in March 1976 and devoted themselves to developing the property. Charles died in September 2023 and Shirley in May 2024. A plaque placed by area Kiwanis Clubs honors their dedication to making the club a venue for golf and social events, as well as their generosity to the community.

Charles Ranly's own golf background began at Austin Country Club, where he was hired as a caddie by instructor Harvey Penick and later worked in the pro shop. Penick, author of "The Little Red Book" and "The Little Green Book," signed Ranly's PGA application.
The club has passed to the Ranlys' nephew, Scott Holey, who has served as general manager since 1996 and aims to carry on the legacy his aunt and uncle established.
