Bayou City Golf course
About Bayou City Golf course
Bayou City Golf Course occupies a 200-acre site along the bank of Moses Bayou, laid out by Houston architect Joe Finger. The championship-length course features elevated greens and tee boxes, with water in play on 12 holes, sand traps, and winds off Galveston Bay adding to the challenge. Palm trees and a mild coastal climate allow play throughout the year.
A renovation begun in 2014 under architect Mike Nuzzo rebuilt all 18 greens and the putting green with Mini-Verde Ultra Dwarf bermuda, increasing the average green to about 5,000 square feet. All sand traps were reconstructed and new tee complexes were added on holes 5, 7, 10, 13, 16 and 17. A 5.5-acre family pitch-and-putt course was also added for walkers, high school teams and casual play.
