Blackhawk Golf Club opened in the fall of 1990, built to a design by Charles Howard in collaboration with Hollis Stacey, a three-time U.S. Women's Open champion.
The links-style layout stretches beyond 7,000 yards from the championship tees, carrying a course rating of 74.5 and a slope of 125. Its test has been stiff enough for the course to serve as host to several professional mini-tour events.
Forty-six sand bunkers are placed strategically across the property. The greens are Tiff Dwarf Bermuda, while the tees and fairways are planted with 419 Bermuda, and concrete cart paths run continuously throughout the course.
