Sunset Grove Country Club
About Sunset Grove Country Club
Sunset Grove Country Club's course was laid out by Donald Ross (1872–1948), the Scottish-born architect responsible for more than 400 designs across the United States, among them Pinehurst No. 2 in North Carolina. Only three of his courses were built in Texas, and Sunset Grove is one of them.
Ross's design philosophy shaped the layout: each hole was meant to pose its own distinct problem, demanding full concentration on every stroke, while making complete use of the available ground and the possibilities of the site.
