Mesquite Golf Club
About Mesquite Golf Club
Mesquite Golf Club is a municipal course owned and operated by the City of Mesquite. Built in the 1960s by Leon Howard, it sits in the Duck Creek floodplain and opened first as nine holes, growing to 18 holes across 154 acres two years later.
Following a period of private management in the 2000s, the city took back operations and the layout underwent a major renovation in 2013. The work stretched the course from about 6,100 to 6,980 yards, introduced Champion Bermuda greens and added 20 bunkers, while the snack bar and pro shop were updated with Wi-Fi and an on-course restroom was built. The changes made for a stiffer test, though multiple sets of tees keep it playable for a range of abilities. The course reopened in 2014.
