Meadowbrook Golf Course
About Meadowbrook Golf Course
Meadowbrook Golf Course is a nine-hole layout in Kilgore, Texas, designed by Tillman C. Wilcox and opened in 1932. Its history includes the annual Meadowbrook Classic Golf Tournament, first played in 1937, and the course has hosted golfers such as Miller Barber, Raleigh Selby and Earl Stewart.
The course runs across gently rolling ground, with bunkers and a winding creek in play on several holes. Elevated tees and greens, along with mildly doglegged fairways, call for a range of shots. It is short by modern measures, but the variety of holes keeps rounds from repeating themselves.
