Hondo Golf Course
About Hondo Golf Course
Hondo Golf Course is a nine-hole layout in Hondo, Texas, operated by the city as one of its public recreation amenities. The course has seen ongoing improvements over time and is geared toward a relaxed, family-friendly round.
Events are a regular part of the calendar. A weekly Wednesday scramble runs through the warmer months, and the course hosts a range of tournaments, among them events for the Hondo-D'Hanis Rotary Club, the Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus, along with the Scott Muennink Memorial Throwdown. Some follow a conventional format while others take a more lighthearted approach, incorporating frisbees, slingshots, toilets and live music. Washer pitching tournaments are also held on site.
