Thorntree Golf Club
About Thorntree Golf Club
Thorntree Golf Club opened in 1983, built by the Richard Mai family. For five years it served as a qualifying site for the Byron Nelson tournament, as well as PGA Tour stage qualifying and sectional qualifying for the Texas State Open.
The 18-hole layout in DeSoto is known as a demanding test, with fairways and Champions Bermuda greens that suit golfers of varying ages and skill levels.
The club also runs an opt-in Hole-in-One Club, in which participating members share in the tradition when one of them aces a hole.
