The Battleground Golf Course

The Battleground at Deer Park is an 18-hole championship course laid out over rolling fairways, with manicured greens and water hazards placed to come into play on strategic lines. Multiple sets of tees give the layout range, so shorter hitters and newer players can find a comfortable distance while stronger players face a sterner test.

The course also carries a historical theme tied to the nearby San Jacinto Battleground, where troops commanded by General Sam Houston defeated and captured General Santa Anna and the Mexican Army, winning Texas its independence. Each hole is named for an element of that battle, and a commemorative granite tee marker on every hole gives the name along with a short description of the events it recalls.
