About Meadowbrook Park Golf Course
Meadowbrook Park Golf Course is the oldest golf course in Arlington, Texas, set within the city's first public park. The 52-acre site was acquired by the City of Arlington in 1923, and the park — sponsored by the Arlington Rotary Club — opened the following year with picnic grounds and a nine-hole course. A small woodbine sandstone building added in the 1930s originally housed monkeys and now forms part of the course's maintenance facility.

The layout remains a nine-hole walking course, short enough to finish within limited time, and is used regularly by families and leagues. The municipal operation maintains an ongoing focus on environmental preservation and enhancement.
Play is organized in groups of up to five at this nine-hole facility, with players sometimes paired together to fill out groups. Minors must be at least six years old to play on Arlington's municipal courses.
