About Maxwell Golf Course
Maxwell Golf Course has served golfers in Abilene and the surrounding Big Country since 1934, when it was built as the city's municipal course to give the community an accessible place to play the game.
The layout reflects the character of traditional municipal golf, placing a premium on shot-making, creativity and course management. Generations of area players have learned the game here, competed in tournaments and formed lasting friendships on its fairways.
