Wild Laurel Golf Course is a public course in Townsend, Tennessee, set within view of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and a short drive from downtown Knoxville. Neighboring Cades Cove, the property is managed with an emphasis on sustainability and its surrounding natural habitat, where wildlife such as wild turkey, deer and black bear can be seen along the wooded corridors and creeks that run through the grounds.
The 18-hole regulation layout was designed by Edmund D. Ault, ASGCA, and plays to Bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens, with a setup intended to suit golfers of varying ability. A pro shop on site stocks playing equipment and offers Ping rental clubs, and the club's atmosphere is geared toward families as well as individual players.
