Covington Country Club

Covington Country Club was established in 1954 on the former Flowers' estate, founded by a group of fifteen directors. It opened with 80 charter families, and membership nearly doubled during the club's first year. Early milestones included the addition of a swimming pool in 1956 and the clearing of the original golf course corridors, much of it carried out through member volunteer effort.

The club expanded through the 1970s and 1980s, adding further recreational facilities. Long-standing traditions continue alongside those additions, among them Friday night dinners, Independence Day celebrations and a regular calendar of social events for members and their families.
