Belle Fourche Country Club

Belle Fourche Country Club is a semi-private, nine-hole course in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, that first opened in 1935. The layout places a premium on accuracy, with narrow fairways and small greens, though forced carries are rare, leaving room to run approach shots onto the putting surfaces.

Among the notable holes is a short par 5 complicated by a creek that crosses the fairway roughly 260 yards from the blue tee; players who lay back short of the water face a long second shot to an uphill green guarded by two front bunkers. The course also features a long downhill par 3 to a very small green that slopes from back to front, where missing short is preferable to running through the back.
