Cherokee Plantation
About Cherokee Plantation
Cherokee Plantation is a private sporting and leisure estate spread across roughly 7,000 acres in Yemassee, South Carolina, shared by about two dozen owner families and their invited guests. Golf is one of several pursuits on the property, alongside hunting and shooting, equestrian facilities, carriage rides and other outdoor activities.
The grounds are marked by mature live oaks, formal gardens, former rice fields and frontage along the Combahee River. A Georgian-style main house anchors the estate, with cottages scattered nearby and day spa facilities within walking distance.
