Oconee Country Club
About Oconee Country Club
Oconee Country Club is a semi-private club set on a former farmstead just outside Seneca, South Carolina, where it opened in 1948. The layout plays short by modern measures, but demands accuracy from the tee and on approaches to small, undulating greens. The original bentgrass putting surfaces were converted to Diamond Zoysia in 2012, a grass better suited to summer heat that delivers a consistent roll.
Practice facilities include a range and two practice greens, and lessons are available from a PGA Professional. The club also has a golf shop, a lounge and a grill. Oconee is open to the public year-round, and memberships are offered.
