About Surf Golf & Beach Club
Opened in 1960, Surf Golf & Beach Club is the third-oldest course along the Grand Strand, laid out by architect George Cobb just a short distance from the ocean. The course winds through a maritime forest that supports a variety of wildlife, and despite its age and setting it remains relatively little known among visiting players.
The layout rewards shotmaking and can be played by golfers of varying ability. Accuracy matters most on approaches into the multi-tiered green complexes, which were rebuilt during a 2016 renovation that introduced Champion Bermudagrass putting surfaces.

The toughest run of holes arrives early, with the second through fifth demanding sharp play, while the back nine provides the course's most memorable stretch.
