About Myrtlewood Golf Club
Myrtlewood Golf Club was the Grand Strand's first multi-course property, opening the PineHills Course in 1966 and adding the Palmetto Course in 1973. Its central location and two distinct layouts played a role in Myrtle Beach's growth as a golf destination.
The Palmetto Course, designed by Edmund Alt, was the first in the Myrtle Beach area to run along the Intracoastal Waterway, and its drama builds as the round progresses. PineHills, an Arthur Hills design, is among the area's more player-friendly layouts, with character-filled greens complexes that place a premium on approach play and recovery shots.
Both courses have been through greens and bunker renovation work in recent years.
