About Charleston National Golf Club
Charleston National Golf Club sits in suburban Mount Pleasant, just north of Charleston, on land carved along the Intracoastal Waterway through natural wetlands, lagoons and a forest of pine and oak.
The 18-hole course was designed by Rees Jones, originally conceived as an exclusive private country club. It now operates as a semi-private club and is the only Rees Jones design in the Charleston area open to the public. Playing to a par of 72, it stretches just beyond 7,100 yards from the back markers, with five sets of tees for a range of abilities and rolling greens throughout. Wooden bridges carry golfers over the natural areas between tee boxes and greens, and the closing holes run alongside broad stretches of marshland.
