About Tara Golf Club at Savannah Lakes Village

Tara Golf Club is one of two member-owned golf courses at Savannah Lakes Village, a lakefront residential and recreation community in McCormick, South Carolina. The community sits in the state's Freshwater Coast region, along the shoreline of the 71,000-plus-acre Lake Thurmond.

Beyond golf, Savannah Lakes Village includes clubhouses, community docks and a recreation center with exercise equipment, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, pickleball, bowling and group instruction. Two dining venues, the River Grille and Monti's, host community events for members and their guests.

The setting is heavily wooded and bordered by roughly 65,000 acres of public lands, including state parks and national forest, with 25 miles of lake shoreline and extensive land and water trails nearby.
