Wedgefield Country Club sits along the bends of the Black River in Georgetown, South Carolina, in a Lowcountry setting of live oaks, rolling fairways and ponds.
The 18-hole course opened in 1972 and was designed by Porter Gibson and Bob Toski. It plays to a par of 72 and stretches to 7,057 yards from the back tees, with 17 water hazards in play. Five sets of tee markers suit a range of playing levels, and the greens are large and gently rolling.

Routed along the natural contours of the land, the two nines offer contrasting experiences. The front nine is sprawling, while the terrain begins to roll as the course approaches the water. Holes 11 through 14 run beside a chain of ponds, where changes in elevation carry water from the high ground toward the river.
