Springfield Golf Club

Springfield Golf Club sits in Fort Mill, South Carolina, just south of the North Carolina state line and a short drive from uptown Charlotte. The course opened in 2001 with a design that draws on the traditional styles of the 1920s, and its greens were rebuilt with ultradwarf MiniVerde turf in the summer of 2010.

Designed by Clyde Johnston, the par-72 layout stretches to 6,906 yards across a hilly, heavily wooded property. Four holes run alongside Sugar Creek, and thirteen play across or along the streams that feed the Catawba River, making water a recurring consideration. The varied terrain and scenery give golfers of differing skill levels a test with plenty to look at along the way.
