About Fort Jackson Golf Club
Fort Jackson Golf Club is a military golf operation in Columbia, South Carolina that is open to the public, with 36 holes across two courses. The club opened in 1949 with an original 18-hole layout designed by George Cobb. In 1991, Arthur L. Davis added 20 new holes to 16 of the original holes to create the present complex. Roughly 50,000 rounds are played each year. Facilities include practice areas, a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse, a pro shop, a snack bar and a lounge.

The Wildcat Course measures 5,426 yards from the red tees and 6,721 yards from the championship tees, with wide fairways and bunkering placed through rolling terrain and South Carolina pines. The 17th tee looks out over the Columbia skyline.
The Old Hickory Course is shorter but routed among lakes and wetlands, placing a premium on accurate tee shots. It plays 5,164 yards from the red tees and 6,624 yards from the championship tees, and hosted the 1998 All Army Golf Trials Camp.
