About Turtle Creek Golf Course
Turtle Creek Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout in Limerick, Pennsylvania, built as an addition to the long-established Waltz Golf Farm complex. The course occupies 165 acres of maintained open greenspace on a property of more than 200 acres, and was planned beginning in 1989 by the Pittsburgh golf course architecture firm Hassenplug Associates.
The land has belonged to the Waltz family since 1937 and was originally part of a 500-acre William Penn grant made in 1718 to Thomas and Hannah McCarty. A stone farmhouse along Landis Creek (Logel Creek), built around 1740 by Phillip Dotterer, has been preserved near the 18th green and the first tees and is visible from many points on the grounds.

Raymond G. "Sandy" Waltz restored the farmhouse and raised black angus cattle here in the late 1930s. In 1964 he and his sons began the Golf Farm with a miniature course, a nine-hole par-3 course and a practice driving range.
