Doylestown Country Club

Doylestown Country Club traces its origins to 1916, when five founders leased 71 acres of farmland in what was then a small community of roughly 1,600 residents surrounded by farms. The property offered streams, ponds, rolling hills and mature trees, and the original layout was a nine-hole course where sheep and cattle occasionally wandered into the fairways.

The club purchased the land outright in 1945, and within the following decade added a clubhouse and swimming pool. A further 70 acres acquired in 1963 allowed the course to be expanded to a full 18 holes. Significant clubhouse and facility improvements followed in 1972 and again in 1997. One of the original farm buildings still stands on the grounds, a reminder of the club's beginnings more than a century ago.
