About Ron Jaworski's Downingtown Country Club
Downingtown Country Club sits among the rolling hills of Chester County in southeastern Pennsylvania. The course was designed by George Fazio, the Philadelphia-area professional and architect whose nephew Tom Fazio also became a course designer, and the club opened in 1965.
The layout plays to a par of 72 with four sets of tees, making it manageable for a range of abilities while still presenting a test for low handicappers. Gently rolling, tree-lined fairways and pronounced bunkering give the course a traditional character in keeping with the region's older designs.
