Northwinds Golf Course
About Northwinds Golf Course
Northwinds Golf Course began as a nine-hole layout built in the early 1960s and opened in May 1964, designed as part of the original plan for the private gated community at Indian Lake in Stonycreek Township. By 1967, Indian Lake had been incorporated as a borough, separate from the development company behind it.
Lake Properties purchased the adjoining Northwinds Lodge and golf course in late 1990, restored both, and later operated them together under the Indian Lake Resort name. The course was expanded to a full 18 holes in 1994. In 2005 the lodge and the resort name were sold, while the golf course was retained and renamed Northwinds Golf Course; the two properties continue to work closely together.
