Piney Apple Golf Course sits amid the orchard country of Biglerville, where the opening tee offers a wide view across a valley of fruit trees framed by the mountains of central Pennsylvania. Pronounced elevation changes, particularly on the 12th and 18th, reinforce the target-style character of the layout, and several greens are set on raised surfaces.
The 11th ranks among the longest holes here and plays through a narrow corridor, bordered by old-growth forest and out of bounds on the left and a line of mature specimen trees on the right, with fairway bunkers tightening the landing area and larger bunkers guarding the front and right of a sizeable green.
The par-four 6th is a sharp dogleg left edged by specimen trees and an orchard. Big hitters can try the corner, though a grass bunker and a water hazard beyond the turn reward careful distance control instead.
