Oregon City Golf Club

Oregon City Golf Club traces its origins to 1922, when a group of local golfers set out to create a place for recreation in a rural setting just outside the city, and to give the community a shared gathering point.

Two golf professionals from England were brought in to guide the project: Howard Beals, whose experience spanned more than 170 courses, and R.G. Seon, who had worked extensively in England and Canada. After lengthy deliberations over finances, potential sites and the practicalities of golf operations, an 18-hole layout was plotted and construction began on the first nine.
