About Neskowin Beach Golf Course

Neskowin Beach Golf Course is a public course operated as a charity for the benefit of Neskowin and the surrounding communities. Its stated purpose is to preserve open space for wildlife and recreation, keep golf accessible to the public, and provide a gathering place for a village that otherwise lacks public community space.

Designed by Ercel Kay and opened in 1932, the course is among the oldest on the Oregon coast, and its history and beachside setting are central to its character. In the course's early decades, golf by the sea helped establish Neskowin as a holiday destination, and a round here remains a traditional first stop for many locals and visitors. Located within reach of Portland and Salem, the village and its course have been part of family memories for more than 90 years.

The course also schedules activities through the year for golfers and non-golfers, intended to bring residents and visitors together.
