About Running Y Golf Course
The land at Running Y traces back to 1866, when homesteader Wendolin Nus built a cabin and rock wall beside Upper Klamath Lake. Over the following century, the property passed through the Fjock, Crowley, McCornack and Geary families, who converted marshland into ranchland with irrigation and cattle operations. California rancher Ruth Teasdale acquired 8,000 acres in 1966, and in 1994 new owners began planning a destination resort. Construction started in 1996, and Arnold Palmer broke ground on the golf course in 1998.

The resort covers 3,600 acres of ranch, forest and wetlands along the shore of Upper Klamath Lake, an area that supports migratory birds and native wildlife. Alongside golf, the property offers a spa, dining and outdoor recreation.
